Avonda Nelson Urben

Avonda has spent her career as a marketing executive for several beauty and fashion companies - Revlon, Iconix, L’Oreal Paris and the last 10 years as a marketing consultant working on developing new products for beauty brands. Six years again a job opportunity led her and her family away from the hustle and bustle of New York to experience the Nordic life. Living on the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark, with her husband and two children, they embraced this new environment immediately. Avonda became friends with many Scandinavian women and she admired them for many reasons - one of which was their cool confidence about their bodies. They are quite natural about their bodies and how to take care of them in a healthy way. Physical activity is a big part of their philosophy - being close to nature is important and they strive to spend as much time outdoors as possible - be it the sea, the forest or just long walks or bike rides in the city.

While working on a BB Cream project for a client, Avonda thought of the name V V Cream and instantly thought it would be great to have a line of multi-tasking products for the V (the bikini area). The VV Cream could be readily associated with the V - the actual area the cream would be used for. The V is the shape of the area and she realized that women really did not have a sophisticated word for that area. (The bikini area, down there, and more crazy names) But why not call it the V? She began thinking of the ways we remove hair there and how that affects the condition of this delicate skin. She began investigating the marketplace for luxury products and quickly realized that there weren’t any luxurious or pampering beauty products for the V.

Women all over the world, are removing hair by waxing, layering, shaving, sugaring, using depilatories and/or just trimming - some type of grooming. But where were the luxury skincare products to take care of the delicate skin of the V. This area was being neglected by beauty and personal care companies and she thought that it was high time that a woman designed a luxurious and effective product line. A line that focused on the beauty benefits while addressing any problems and one that you would not be embarrassed to have in your bathroom. A line that gave women skincare products for a good maintenance program to take care of the special needs of the V - ph balanced, safe, helping to prevent problems and making the skin soft and radiant like every other part of the body.

It all seems so perfectly natural....why not pamper the V and have great skin everywhere.
